hi,

I need to know the columnnames of tables from another schema. How do i do it.
I tried using
  SELECT * FROM anotherschema.user_tab_columns WHERE ROWNUM < 10;

but i get error msg
ORA-00942: table or view does not exist

Is there any way i could access the user_tab_column table of another schema.

thank you Shocked

You must query dba_tab_columns.

Don't multipost your questions.

or All_Tab_Columns - that will show you the columns of all the tables you have been granted SELECT on.
