What is different between Oracle regular function(REGEXP_LIKE ,REGEXP_SUBSTR,REGEXP_REPLACE,REGEXP_INSTR) & oracle normal function(LIKE,SUBSTR,INSTR)?

After version 10g,REGULAR functions are the special property ,they are more powerful than the normal ,you can get the details on SQL Reference Of 10g.
