I have a nightly batch prozess, on a machine with a Oracle-ThinClient installed.
We are talking to the remote Oracle-Server via. ODBC using the driver provided by the Thin-Client-Installation.

What I want is to let my app. "some how?" ask the oracle server how bussy he is.
Obviously we don't have anny kind of sysadmin, or sysdba rights on the server.
We have "admin" rights for the objects of the Account we used to connect to the oracle server.

We want to postpone the start of our batch prozess if the oracle server is too bussy.

Anny idea?
Thanks

Better ask yuor sysadmin to provide you a way to get this information.
