hi all,

A synonym is simply an alias. It requires no storage other than its definition in the data dictionary.

Can anybody tell me, What is "definition" here?

Thanks & Regards,

I think Definition in the data dictionry means the Synonym_name goes in to the data dictionary tables when we create synonym.

i.e. in all_synonyms, user_synonyms, dba_synonyms

Thanks,
