Hi all,

Hope every thing is fine. I have a problem in running form that error message appear which is as follows:

{
FRM-10142 The HTTP Listner is not running on (Host) at port 8889. Please start the listner or check your runtime preferences.
}

I m sure that Http Listner is running on and preferences is also correct.

Please reply me as early as possible

developer_suite->forms->start OC4J instance...

this should solve your problem...I am wondering why you asked this question as your topic itself was the answer

no please my problem is different when i start OC4J then there is a note pad file opened in which have some path?
I don,t know what is this can u please tell me something about this problem.

have you tried as shown in the attached document..I assume not..

on command prompt (which will open automatically) you will see these readings..

A "Notepad file"? Are you sure? I'm quite certain that it is the Command prompt window, not a file.

However: when you start the OC4J instance, just minimize this window, do NOT close it because OC4J is necessary for you to run the form (using the Forms Builder; if you have an Application Server which runs Form service, then that's another issue but I doubt that this is your situation). Then run the form again.

friends i m in Problem. please tell me some solution. when i open oc4j instance there is open a note pad file which i sent you alrady. when i run form after open this notepad file but my problem is not solve. plz, please help me as early as possible.

It seems the notepad that you sent us has not reached us yet..please check if it is still in transit...

Did you try according to the screen shot I have attached? Attach the sreen shot of what you are doing..and this time do not forget to attach....

Hi to all
Now i solved my problem.
It was virus effect due to some files of developer were deleted.
Now i install developer again and now project is running very well. now i m happy
