Hi,

When exporting from a custom form, text fields that have a leading zero are getting their leading zeros stripped off when the fnd_gfm.tsv gets exported and brought into Excel.

I've seen a suggestion that these fields need to be prefixed by "'" so that Excel doesn't try to be clever and decide what it thinks needs doing with the data. I'm sure that this would work, but I don't want to show the "'" in my form data.

Any ideas?

Thanks,
Barry

How about creating additional (invisible) form item? Its value would be "'" concatenated with the original item value; for example
Original Invisible
-------- ---------
Barry 'Barry
01234 '01234
You'd then export this "invisible" item (instead of the original one).

HI,

Thanks for the reply.

Is it possible to choose which fields you want to export?
I'd want to export the invisible one, and leave the original (displayed) one behind.

Thanks,
Barry

Sorry, but I have never heard of or used "fnd_gfm.tsv"; my idea was pure theory.

It's the file that gets produced when you >File>Export from the toolbar in Oracle EBS.
