i installed oracle vault in oracle database 10.2.0.4
but there was this message in dvca_install.log
Error executing task UNLOCK_DVSYS:java.sql.SQLException: ORA-01918: user 'DVSYS' does not exist
Error executing task PASSWORD_CHANGE_DVSYS:java.sql.SQLException: ORA-01918: user 'DVSYS' does not exist
Unable to login to DVSYS account.. java.sql.SQLException: ORA-01017: invalid username/password; logon denied
. Error during post-installation processing. java.lang.NullPointerException. Error during post-installation processing. java.lang.NullPointerException.

YES
I HAVE TEMP TABLESPACE
ALSO I AM NOT GETTING EM CONSOLE
https://localhost:1158/em
the browser stays like that showing nothing
i am able to connect to the database thru cmd prompt
i can c that the vault owner and account manager r created
but no roles r assigned to them accept connect
and also the schemas required for vault r not created
what is the problem 
please c my log file

Actually some of the things that Michel mentioned are correct except for the last one: you don't have to have the oracle sid in lower case.
All of these annoyances are fixed in the 11g release.

I remember working with a customer who had an upper case instance name and the installation worked fine.
The instance name case should be identical in the oratab file to match what is in the database.

i think i have successfuly installed the vault
but cannot login as sys via em console
reason insuffiecient priviledge
i was able to login as system
also vault owner is unable to login thru em console
but sys and vault owner can login thru the windows cmd prompt

I have installed oracle database vault on oracle 10.2.0.4 on windows xp, the installation has only one database and the installtion was succesfule. However I, get the message page cannot be displayed for http://localhost:1158/dva. The roles DV_OWNER, DV_ADMIN, or DV_SECANALYST are not created as well. only DV_REALM_OWNER, DV_REALM_RESOURCE are created. Please suggest what can be the reason. The em console works fine.
