Look in your user files directory.

Check the files with an extension of ".LAY" If you see any of those
files with a size of zero, delete them.

after deleting that file the error gone ..

One Kind of Solution (Worked for me)

open your print setup in file menu.
check if some wrong printer or printer which is not reachable by network or may be standlone than the error will come.
Select a correct printer or install some default file write printer. Check now the layout will come.

No choice?

I haven't used Toad in years, but from what I understand it has little if any functionality that is not present in Oracle's own SQL Developer product. And SQL Developer costs all of $00.00

how do you identify which Toad version is compatible with your ancient OS & obsoleted Oracle database?

Note that germz027 is not the original poster, but is responding to a post from the year 2008, in which the original poster's versions were not so out of date.

I hate it when that happens ... especially when I get sucked in as well! Looks like the OP solved his own problem in 2008. Then d.anitkumar revived it in 2010. Then germz027 again revived it 2 days ago simply to chime in and say he "solved it" by reinstalling. Then BlackSwan and I both got sucked in by not noticing the dates. If I had noticed that I would have let it lie, or pointed it out to germz.
