Hi Admin,
Is datapump export/Import is possible in Oracle client. If it possible, whether it has some special configuration?

No, it is not. However, you can use the older "exp" and "imp" utilities instead.

At the opposite of old export which makes the export job on the workstation that started it, Data Pump has 2 parts: expdp program which can run the client workstation, and a server part which actually executes the export on the instance server.
So if the question is "can I start a Data Pump job on a client?", the answer is yes.
But if the question is "can I have the Data Pump job executes on the client, and so the export dump file on the client?", the answer is no.

As a side note to gazzag's answer, the old export is no more upgraded, since 10g, and so does not support the new datatypes and new objects. Be sure if you use it, to not have any of these ones.
