What specific questions do you have that are NOT answered in the Installation Guide?
How many times have you actually installed Oracle V11 on Windows 7 previously?

Please read and follow the forum guidelines, to enable us to help you:

SYSDBA applies when you log into a DB.
Prior to completing in the installation, no DB exists so any discussion of SYSDBA is moot or nonsensical.
Installation of DB occurs at the OS level.

How many times have you actually installed Oracle V11 on Windows 7 previously?

why should we answer your questions when you don't answer our questions?

I rarely install databases and - when I do - it is for my own amusement (such as reformatting the hard disk and, among other stuff, putting Oracle database back). I think I never even installed 11g apart from XE. However, I *know* that this was quite a simple task; OUI did the job perfectly. Now, once again, I accepted all default parameters because I'm the only user and I don't really care much about tweaking it up. After all, I'm not a DBA.

I'm just wondering: if you installed 11g on Windows 7 30 times (long time ago, though - how "long" can that be as Windows 7 was released in 2009), how come you didn't remember ANYTHING about it?

Finally, what do you mean by saying Quote:

With just the ip address available, how to install the oracle 11g software on windows 7?

What IP address? What does it have to do with the job you'd like to do?

Are you saying that you have the ip address of a machine, and that you want to connect to it remotely in order to do an installation? If so, ask the system administrator to give you either a remote desktop connection, or to install and start a VNC desktop. My preference is VNC.
But that seems a trivial question. Are you actually asking something else?
