Hi,

A while ago I made a small software that Programmatically creates an ODBC connection in Windows when the program stars and later using that ODBC when making INSERT (and UPDATES) into an Micrososft SQL Server database over network.
Now I have start looking how to do the same thing into an Oracle Server database. I read somewere that I have to install some software in the windows machine to make this work and I wonder if this is correct. I think it would be better if everything could be done Programmatically.
Can someone explain how ODBC connections from Windows xp or Windows 7 to an Oracle database works, and maybe how to Programmatically(C++) do this?

Regards
