That is nonsensical.

"evaluate" means literally to "ascertain the value of", but NULL is not a value because it cannot be an element of some set.

This is evident from the fact that in formal set theory it is required that all elements of sets be comparable with '=' and this must be an equivalence relation. However no appropriate equivalence relation is defined on any set that is purported to contain an element with the usual characteristics of NULL. Received on Fri Oct 08 2010 - 03:57:37 CEST
