Postdoctoral positions at the level of Assistant Research Professor are available in the
Department of Computer Science and Engineering at Texas A&M University, under the
supervision of Prof. Jeffrey S. Vitter. Texas A&M is an equal opportunity employer. The
position is for one year and can be extended for one or more additional years by mutual
consent. Applicants must have clearly demonstrated experience and skills in algorithm
design, analysis, and implementation. Familiarity with external memory algorithms,
compressed data structures, compression, data streams, and machine learning is a definite plus.

Responsibilities include research on Prof. Vitter's projects, interaction with colleagues and
agency scientists, and preparing technical reports and research funding proposals.
