That is very plausible. At the time, most, if not all IBM disk drives implemented keys in hardware. Other manufacturers supplied similar. Thinking of keys as physical was widespread, albeit in an IT world that was much smaller than now. Received on Sat Dec 01 2007 - 20:38:36 CET
