Forgot to mention another nice symmetry I ran into today. Pulled alternator rotor from friend's CB750. The rear axle makes a fine puller. I wonder if some Honda engineer thought that made good symmetry. Reminds me of the Vincent that sometimes came with sidecar, if you detached it (say because the hack had a flat), you could get a higher gear for solo riding by reversing the rear wheel which had two sprockets, apparently with no tools!
