Every couple of weeks I have lunch with a group of people interested in programming languages. There are several LISPers among the regulars, and these people are well versed in gc and its implementation.

Occasionally we get illustrious guests. Today we dined with Hal Abelson. We talked about various things, and naturally SICP was mentioned at one point. I commented that I had heard online recently from someone who mentioned he was named in a footnote for having coined a term. Everyone looked at me blankly. I said "broken heart" and the whole room went "ah ......"

It was cool.
