You may be right as far as purchases go: customers can buy the whole car, the engine, the transmission, a single gear, etc. However, whenever I've been to an autoparts store, they generally ask for criteria that leads them to a part. The criteria is not considered a part. I'm trying to figure out how they "group" the parts: logical vehicle sections (engine, undercar, exhaust, transmission, body, frame, etc), or what?
