The screws are to all intents and purposes identical and interchangeable. "123" is Mssrs Jones reference for their version of a 1" m6 screw, while another supplier, Mssrs Smith, use "ABC" as their reference no. for the same specification screw. So the supplier's reference no.. You would probably have a totally different reference maybe something like "Screw_1_M6" so just different suppliers of Screw_1_M6
