In other words, if the software project for some idiotic reason decides to forego any data management whatsoever, the 'tools' would not require anything to facilitate data management.

Having made an idiotic decision to forego data management, one made a conscious decision to forego any sort of logical data model -- choosing a purely physical representation instead. As such, the self-aggrandizing ignorant's question is fatuous on its face. Defining a situation without a logical data model obviates any discussion of excellence of the absent model.

What would be some best practices for modeling data in

Best practices? The self-aggrandizing ignorant asks what the best practices would be after making a stupid decision to forego data management. Well, duh. The best practice is: Don't do stupid shit like that in the first place.

One might as legitimately ask what are the best practices for establishing a surgery in a latrine by adapting used farm equipment as surgical instruments.

If the self-aggrandizing ignorant is too stupid after all these years to realize that she limited the scope of discussion to have no (separate) logical data model in the first place, there is no helping her.

What best practices would apply to data modeling for

The self-aggrandizing ignorant should ask a copy editor instead.

JOG, if you are going to address the self-aggrandizing ignorants, please address the most fundamental errors first. Received on Wed Oct 25 2006 - 15:50:52 CEST
