What is exactly that you find wrong (or hurting) in my statement:

"for ANY numerical (finite) set which has an even cardinality (I mean 2 i ,
i=1,2,...).

In such a case, it is just an assumption that the MEDIAN is defined as the average of the 2 "central" terms (according to the current comparer). " ???

I am responding to the vc's question on how the MEDIAN is uniquely defined on finite numerical set.
