ABSTRACT In order to be able to frame business rules in such a way as to avoid all ambiguity, you must be armed with an elementary knowledge of logic. The purpose of this paper is to equip you with the basics of what you need in this respect. To be more specific, it shows how certain key concepts from elementary logic can be used to simplify the task of formulating business rules whose interpretation is clear, precise, and unambiguous.
