I've done some googling (among others I liked the explanations of CJ Date).

At the end, there is no strict boundary between an entity and a relationship: a relationship can become an entity if needed.

As for the usefulness of the E/R model, it may be a question of taste. I prefer to see the physical design of a database + some textual explanantions. Received on Mon May 01 2006 - 14:41:26 CDT
