Dawn,

This whole discussion is so abstract. You've posted 20 messages about "UI Model" (or whatever) but you have yet to mention a text box or a dropdown. I doubt this conversation can be the least bit useful if it remains perpetually divorced from any specifics.

How about you describe a simple UI and explain what's hard about working with it in SQL, and what might be easier working in pick? Bonus points if the example is closely related to some actual project you've worked on.

Technical conversations are always easier with simple examples.
