Some of us use a nice threaded interface so can see what the previous message, suggestion is to get a better news reader, try google groups if you only have a browser.

Unless you are replying to a specific comment of the previous thread then why quote it?

In life, you do not repeat a sentance back to the person you have just listened to in order to reply or give your opinion.

Perhaps you have too much time on your hands, does your boss know?
