Roy, if I understand your post correctly you are asking if any rdbms
product supports FK to a remote database table. My answer is not to my
knowledge. Oracle definitely does not. You have to use a table
trigger to enforce integrity between tables in distributed databases.
I do not ever remember dealing with a FK to a remote object with DB2 or
SQL Server either but my experience with those products in not as deep.
