Not true. By your statement, you imply that Oracle people, even very skilled ones, all actively participate in the comp.databases.oracle.* newsgroups. That is a fallacy.

Moreover, I find many of those that do participate in this group here know a heck of a lot about good database design and fundamentals, things that translate across multiple technologies, methodologies, and implementations.
