The Relational Model exists, the OO Model don't exist.

It is not very difficult if you know what are you doing, but most OO coders don't have a good grasp on relational database theory.

It is not very hard, but it would be a lot easier if the OO languages were well designed, and if relational databases were used. SQL databases are not relational.
