I think it would be very appropriate to discuss them here.

First of all, we cannot separate theory from practice as cleanly as some would have. Theory has to be validated by addressing practical problem, and has to validate its targets by choosing from the large set of practical or invented scenarios, those problems that are of significance.

Second, compared to the usual (lack of) quality of rants posted here, it will be a most welcome change.
