Appropriate succinctness aids communication. Excessive terseness impairs it. Brevity is something Bob overdoes.

Not to mention the fact that he regularly replies to 500 line posts with a single line, where only the last 5 or 10 lines of the 500 is relevant context! *That* is certainly not succinct!
