GUI representation has so many details that it's fair to say that GUI is physical implementation of logical data that it visualizes.

This makes the whole picture very symmetrical. We have data described ones on logical level and 2(!) implementational sides. The physical database implementation (at the storage side) and the physical GUI representation. The relational data abstraction is the interface between the 2.
