Re:, and it is not about "old" newsreaders only.
I am using a spanking new Gnome Pan, and I ask it to change threads when the subject line changes. So it has to be Re: in order to avoid breaking threads.
Was: is a human convention for changing threads while giving info about where in Earth did the current thread came from.
