open source mdb

Hello,

    Does anybody know if there exists an open souce Multi Dimensional DataBase to do
OnLine Analytical Processing, and statistical analysis.

    If not I would like to start a project or participate in a project developing such an opensource MDB. Being able to work with a group would make the whole thing much less boring. Is this the right place for such a message?

    The very first task of such a procject would be to define some minimal goals,
and then to look for some ways to achieve them gradually....
