IMO, Relational Data Model is but one particullar application of predicate logic and set theory. It is possible to create countless data models starting with the same set theory. All-in-all, the Relational Data Model is one of the best at the present time, but it too has its flaws and limitations. Just as Newton's Theories were displaced by Quantum Theories, so will the Relational Data Model. Received on Thu May 01 2003 - 17:33:04 CDT
