I have a problem,
and I am wondering if someone out there could please help me.

According to Elmasri / Navathe :
"Few Database Management Systems have implemented the full three schema architecture."

Elmasri specifies an architecture for database systems, called the three-schema architecture, which was proposed to help achieve and visualize these characteristics.

My Question is,
is MySQL with or withouth a frontend GUI, based on the three schema architecture ?

Is MySQL compliant to ANSI/X3/SPARC DBMS Architecture ?

In his Text book "Fundamentals of Database Systems," MySQL is not commented.
However Oracle ;-( is well commented.
The same is true for Access, dBASE, Informix, and SQL Server.

It Is possible to achieve true Data Independence with MySQL ? Is the same holding for LAMP ?
Linux, Apache, PHP MySQL ?

Yours Sincerely
