If you have a firm foundation on theory maybe you can share with us where you read that theory that says that normal forms normalization doesn't apply to entity types in an ER schema.

Maybe it's useless, but when you are so plain wrong, yet you use a phrase like "you show what you don't know", I think "please" would be an improvement. I didn't intend to help Jan, I intended to help you.

Please consult B. Thalheim "Entity Relationship Modeling - Foundations of Database Technology" Springer 2000, page 392. I suggest that if you're interested in ER, the book is a must have.
