Well, my advice is to always go for the 0,0001%, it makes life more interesting. But my other piece of advice is to choose a career because it interests you, not how much money you will make. If you get bored in 10 years your productivity will drop no matter where you are and it will be pure luck if you happen to succeed, whereas if you always work on something you have a passion for, you will push to the top on your own merits. And whatever tv and the movies might lead you to believe, the truth is that in life, things you gain by merit are more satisfying. If you don't believe that, then you might as well skip banking and go straight for a life of crime. Ooops, I forgot, these days (at least in the U.S.), those are the same thing. :-)
