        Sure, this is a theory newsgroup, and your question is an implementation one.

        I guess you'd be better off studying one of the available SQL free DBMSs such as SAP DB, Interbase (Firebird), PostgreSQL or GNU SQL -- *not* MySQL.And asking such questions in these projects' mailing lists and newsgroups.

        And even before that, reading Christopher J Date's An Introduction to Database Systems, 7th edition, as well as his and Hugh Darwen's The Third Manifesto -- Foundation for Future Database Systems, 2nd ed. You can find something about these books at http://www.firstsql.com/dbdebunk.
