If you read my posting carefully, I was not talking about the "relational model" but about database implementation. I pointed out that fixed length indices can be *an advantage* in relational databases since they allow a file-only-operating-mode.
Instead of spending most of my energy, flaming other people in newsgroups, I
do build a database.
If you are having fun at calling me an "ignorant", enjoy yourself. The
performance of my product proves that I am on the right track. Where is your
product?
