Hi,
Does anybody have any figures (or even opinions!) on the following...
Is there much of a performance overhead involved in replicating data between
two databases, one in California and one in Europe (London/Paris), as
opposed to replicating data between one database in California and one
in Europe (Paris/London)?
Mostly, I am interested in the lag involved in long-distance data
transfers, because when I transfer files (HTTP or FTP) between Europe and
the US, I often get bps at least as good as local transfer rates.
Thanks,
