My ideas about fuzzyness is a bit different; your suggestion is to let a search return imperfect matches. I think that's quite important as well, as information almost never is stored perfect - there is always typos, missing data in columns, etc.

My idea is to have scores and/or votes already stored in the database, as meta information for "data miners". This meta information might be either automatically, semiautomatically or manually inserted.
