I use Together from www.togethersoft.com, and serves me pretty good.
Whiteboard editions id freeware.
Also I can recommend book DATABASE FOR SMARTIES - Using UML for Data
Modeling by Robert J. Muller (ISBN 1-55860-515-0) which is absolutely
amazing.
