I need to store stock prices (sell/buy) in a table like this.

Stock, Sell or Buy, Time of Sell or Buy, Amount

Now this can be put a single table, but then you are looking at a very long table. Is their a better way to do it, for performance side will a OO database be good. I mean what data base is good for data that are time oriented.
