  I have already worked with ADODB and do not know MSDASC...   but I also had some problems.
  Solution was simple... VB6 only reads the first ORACLE_HOME out of the registry.
  I set up a new string ("TNS_ADMIN") which pointed to one central tnsnames.ora/sqlnet.ora.
  Now every database in this tnsnames.ora is accessible.
