Help! How to solve the ORA-03113 end-of-file on communication channel ?

Hi,

My provider have installed Oracle 8.1.7 on AIX 5.2, i've already connected to the database using, TOra, Toad and SQLPLUS from Windows. The problem is that in less than a minute or for a ver short time (no more than 2 mins) the connection to oracle send the ORA-03113. I've checked other groups and already know that the problem may be because of the net, but i want to know if there another reason, maybe a configuration file.

I have full access to the configuration files on the server, so if anyone knows if the problem could be my initial configuration, or if it could be some kind of session timeout that is causing the problem, could anyone help, please?
