Hello all, I've been working with Oracle for about 8 years - since v7.  I've always been a software engineer, but now am a DBA. I've learned a lot in the past 4 months, but, as usual, the more you learn, the more you realize you don't know. I'm trying to put together a 2 year plan to get to an expert level of DBA. I also need to learn about unix admin since I'm doing that as well, but for this question I'm just asking about oracle.

Please feel free to give any info on how you feel I can achieve this goal: certs, training (class, CBT, books), web sites, your experience, etc. Do you think this is a fair time frame?

Thanks, I look forward to hearing from everyone. Received on Mon Mar 08 2004 - 11:22:07 CST
