If I were in your shoes, I'd target smaller firms that may be in the market for a combination systems administrator/ DBA/ developer. Firms that aren't large enough to have full-time systems admins, full-time DBA's, etc are going to tend to be a lot more receptive to someone who has excellent systems administration credentials and is excited about learning the DBA tasks.

The other option is to look for a position as a database developer (i.e. SQL or PL/SQL programmer). Many larger organizations will pull their entry-level DBA's from among their better SQL developers.
