Thanks for your reply. On W2K shutdown I get the following entry in my alert file...

Errors in file d:\oracle\oradata\BNBPT\udump\ORA01120.TRC: ORA-00600: internal error code, arguments: [12333], [140], [206], [142], [], [], [], []

I performed a call stack trace search metalink. I found out that 12333 refers to "Fatal Two-Task Protocol Violation" and references possible NLS issues, but I still haven't been able to determine my problem. I'm kinda new to this.

Also, my oradim.log entry is as follows... Tue Nov 18 10:29:04 2003ORA-01041: internal error. hostdef extension doesn't exist

Any help is greatly appreciated.
