I have installed Oracle9i on RH Linux 9: 1. orainstall has a problem with "smp"; reboot using the single processor kernal.
(This is only required for installing the Oracle. This is only a
problem with RH 9!)
2. There are other issues that are addressed at: http://www.puschitz.com/
(I personally encountered two problems. The temporary downgrading of glibc,
glibc-common, & glibc-devel must be done before installation is started. The
other problem of adding "$(LDLIBFLAG)dl" is a minor problem.)
