OEM login NullPointerException

I am no longer able to login to Oracle Enterprise Manager - Management
Server from my win2K laptop, although standalone mode still works. I
get a popup saying that This seems to have occured after installing a
new JDK (1.4.2 with netbeans bundle). My login works from other
machines, so the problem is with the client. Anyone have/solve this
problem?
