Friend of mine told me about their project where they will have Oracle on
Win (NT orXP) machine and they will have a few Oracle clients on Linux
machines and connection will be set by perl library (DBI or something).
does it have a sense?
Is it possible?
Oracle db will store only one extremely big table.
There will be daily inserts and table will record all of them.
Then they want to have fast access to any record in the table. Table will
have on primary key.
Is it good solution?
